Taxpayers OPPOSES Jamul-Dulzura Union School District $18 Million Bond Measure
The Association OPPOSES Jamul-Dulzura’s bond as there are concerns the district has not provided substantial program justification or evidence of need. The $18 million is also undersized against the Facilities Master Plan it cites: the District's consultant identifies $15.6 million in hard-cost construction escalated only to a June 2027 start, excluding professional fees, soft-costs, construction, furniture, fixtures and equipment, hazardous-material abatement, and any inflation beyond June 2027, yet bonds will not issue until FY 2029-30. Including soft costs and inflation to the issuance date, the all-in cost for the work as scoped approaches $22–$24 million, and there is no clear project prioritization to address this difference.
